Description

  • Planning and coordinating the daily operations of a fleet of HGV tankers and other vehicles, ensuring optimal route efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaising with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Monitoring live operations, resolving any logistical issues, and making real-time adjustments to schedules as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Utilising transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet performance and drive continuous improvements.
  • Supporting the Transport Manager in developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.

Profile

  • Previous transport planning experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations, driver compliance, and route planning
  • Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams effectively
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
