Aerospace Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer Vacancy.
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to join a bespoke Aerospace Manufacturer and contribute to their commitment to operational excellence.The role involves designing and developing process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, analysing data, and implementing Lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Analysing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvementDeveloping and implementing process improvements using Lean principles and toolsCollaborating with suppliers and partners to ensure seamless integration of processesProviding technical guidance and training to colleagues in various departments to ensure process understanding and adherence
The Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer should demonstrate:
Significant experience in manufacturing process improvement, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements (AS9110, EASA, CAA etc).
A background in quality management, operations research, or engineering.
Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent HNC Level or similar qualification.
3 years plus of experience in a Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, or similar role, preferably in an aerospace or MRO setting.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred).
Experience with root cause analysis, process mapping, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or statistical software. PowerPoint, Word, Outlook (ERP software experiences an advantage)
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills with multi department teams. Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
