Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee their payroll operations across the UK.

Responsibilities:As a Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for –

  • End-to-end payroll process for 350-500 employees, including salaried and hourly paid staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, meeting all monthly and weekly deadlines.
  • Handle complex payroll calculations, including pensions, and statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP).
  • Prepare and submit RTI (Real Time Information) filings to HMRC, ensuring full compliance with UK payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare detailed reports for management and auditors.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes, adopting best practice

Requirements:

As a Payroll Specialist you will need -

  • In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory payments.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
