Are you looking for a new role? Our client is well established within the design and manufacturing of custom hydraulic cylinders and components. They are looking for a HSEQ Engineer to join their thriving company!

HSEQ Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Being the centre point of contact on the factory floor for communication and ensure clear communication as necessary with the company’s Health & Safety Consultants
  • Work with the Production Manager to ensure the staff are trained to standard within their roles and ensure that the company complies with Health and Safety regulations
  • Participate in frequent review meetings with the Business Director to analyse and prioritise the actions that the company must take to adhere to regulations
  • Processing accident reports in conjunction with the relevant department and tracking information on near misses
  • Provide feedback on Health and Safety issues to the management team and encouraging pro-activity to the staff and management
  • Recording any new operating procedures instructions and risk assessments and/or instructions for staff. Ensuring that everything is recorded and documented for full traceability
  • Communicating with customers and suppliers regarding issues relating to quality. Recording and reporting feedback to management
  • Completing and recording roaming inspections and providing feedback to management
  • Overseeing the process of returns and working with the customer recording action taken
  • Participating in and the recording of regular progress meetings
  • Timely calibration of tooling
  • Carry out customer, supplier and internal audits as requested by demand
  • Ensure that a document control procedure is adopted to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS
  • Analyse data on the effectiveness of the QMS and assess where improvements of the QMS can be made
  • Ensure that the Directors/Management are updated as to the outcome of regular customer satisfaction assessments that you will carry out
  • Ensure that all new staff are aware of the requirements of the QMS related to their own roles and responsibilities. Provide training updates as necessary and re-evaluate and ensure that records of any assessments are maintained
  • Working on and frequently reviewing the Quality Objectives set by the Business Director/Managing Director for measuring the performance of the QMS
  • Ensure that the performance of the QMS is reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness
  • Working alongside the Business Director to ensure that the processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained

HSEQ Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience of working in a Quality led environment
  • Experience of a manufacturing /production environment ideally engineering
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standard
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage but not essential. (ISO 9000 etc.)

HSEQ Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 07:00am - 16:30pm
  • Friday 07:00am - 15:30pm
