Our well-established client supply a wide range of industry sectors, they operate across the UK and abroad! They are recruiting for a Senior Welder with experience to join their busy and dynamic team!
Senior Welder Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all equipment checks are carried out before starting a job and all risk assessments are completed
- Make sure PPE is up to standards and worn at all times, including helmet filter checks are carried out
- Mig welding
- Read from engineering drawings / work instructions
- Carry out tacking, fabrication and welding component parts to company standards
- Working with the production manager
- Analysing optimal settings and flow rates for specification / standard production jobs
- Ensuring all targets are met
- Overseeing the work of your welding colleagues and support with training
- Training on setting up and running the Auto - welder
- Ensuring any problems / queries are communicated well to the works manager
- Recording quality issues / returns on data sheets
- Ensuring standard works instructions, operation procedure and risk assessments are up to date
Senior Welder Ideal Candidate:
- Will have Welding Standard BSENISO9606-1 2013
- Be an experienced MIG Welder
- Previously managed team members
- Be flexible and positive
Senior Welder Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30
- Fridays, 08:00 - 15:30
- Overtime and Saturday mornings when required
- 1 1/3 after 39 hours during the week
- 1 ½ Saturday mornings
