Experienced Learning Support Assistant - Witney
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? We are seeking an experienced LSA to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including attachment difficulties and Autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to help a child grow in confidence, develop their learning, and reach their full potential.
Location: Witney
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Support Focus: 1:1 interventions in the afternoon to help the child achieve KS2 academic targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored Learning Support Assistant support to meet the child's individual learning needs
- Creating a structured and supportive environment to help them feel secure and engaged
- Using positive reinforcement strategies to build confidence and independence
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress and adjust interventions as needed
Learning Support Assistant
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with SEN, Autism, and attachment needs
- Is patient, understanding, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
- Can adapt their approach to suit the Witney child's learning style and emotional needs
- Has a creative and encouraging attitude to inspire progress
- Works well within a team and is confident communicating with teachers and parents
- Holds relevant experience or qualifications in supporting SEN (desirable but not essential)
