Clarity are excited to be again working with our client based near Woking, Surrey to recruit for an experienced, driven and hungry Business Development Executive.

The client are importers & distributors of ethically sourced high quality natural stone and porcelain paving from all over the world. The popularity of their specific products is growing fast with more and more people choosing natural stone for their garden projects.

You will be selling to Builder’s Merchants, Landscapers and Garden Centres throughout England as well as tradesmen.

You will need to be a car driver due to the location of the business. The role is office based but hybrid / remote working is an option after a qualifying period.

Commission is paid on all orders taken from new clients and repeated with each order they then go on to place.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous sales professionals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and are hungry for success with a desire and proven history to be able to close deals and hit individual and team targets
  • Be social media aware and able to manage Instagram, Facebook and more
  • Have excellent relationship building / consultative selling skills
  • Have experience of working in building / landscaping industry
  • Managing customer interactions, pipeline and closing contracts
  • Have a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Known for being able to "roll up sleeves" to get work done within a scale up environment
  • Highly literate and numerate, commercially astute
  • Confidence to identify key decision makers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The role:

  • Generating new business via cold call and email prospecting, social media, telemarketing, inbound leads and referrals.
  • Responding to enquiries passed through to the department on leads generated through specific sales channels
  • CRM and use of word/excel
  • Using your training to give in-depth knowledge of products and services, to be able to explain the features and benefits, and those of our competitors
  • Attending team meetings and contributing as necessary on individual performance, any successes, failures, opportunities and threats
