About the Role

National Tier 1 Contractor clients are after a Preconstruction Manager to join their UK Building Solutions Division in South West London.

You will be someone with defense experience, large scale refurbishment, and MOD contracts/ projects.

As a Preconstruction Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of multi-million refurbishment projects within the defense sector. Your expertise in managing preconstruction activities will ensure meticulous planning, efficient procurement, and optimal resource allocation to achieve project excellence. You will build strong relationships with defense clients, design teams, and subcontractors, ensuring that project requirements are met while adhering to the highest safety, quality, and contractual standards. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment will be essential in delivering exceptional project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preconstruction process, overseeing bid management, project planning, and design coordination to ensure successful project initiation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet technical, financial, and operational needs.
  • Ensure all preconstruction activities adhere to strict defense sector regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive the implementation of sustainable and cutting-edge design and delivery approaches, contributing to the advancement of industry best practices.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in preconstruction planning and execution, ideally within the refurbishment or defense sectors.
  • Strong understanding of various construction disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Confidently manages multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Holds a valid UK Driver's License and is willing to undergo security vetting.
