Summary:

Our client is looking for a warm and confident Housekeeper Companion for their 78-year-old mother-in-law, who will be moving in with them. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, upbeat, and friendly, capable of providing companionship to their mother-in-law who has dementia. The role requires someone who can make practical decisions and exhibit patience, especially as the mother-in-law often struggles with her words and frequently misplaces items like her glasses.

Duties to include:

  • Cleaning of the home
  • Driving to Chichester every 2 weeks so she can have lunch with her old friends to help her stay connected
  • Going with her to GP appointments, sewing classes, Pilates sessions, and other activities to keep her engaged and active.
  • Assisting with gardening tasks, as she loves spending time outdoors.
