Intercompany (financial accountant - Remote based role

ACA or ACCA qualified financial accountant

Client Details

Leading Surrey based Charity are seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified financial accountant to undertake a permanent Intercompany Manager vacancy.

Description

  • Managing 3 members of staff
  • Leads a holistic, critical review of current intercompany processes and procedures, identifying and implementing improvements required, maximising the use of SAP, to deliver an efficient intercompany process aligned to US GAAP accounting requirements and intercompany procedures.
  • Defines and implements key performance metrics to identify areas of non-compliance and inefficiency, issuing quarterly reports to management and other relevant stakeholders to give visibility of any ongoing challenges to accurate and efficient intercompany accounting.
  • Promotes awareness of, and compliance with, PII Intercompany procedures across the organisation by preparation and delivery of targeted training for relevant stakeholders in areas of non-compliance.
  • Ensure all required Global Hub ("GH") intercompany journals are accurately prepared, with appropriate supporting documentation, and posted by the GH intercompany accountants within month-end reporting timescales.
  • Support intercompany colleagues across to meet month end deadlines and required standards of quality.
  • Support the GH intercompany accountants to prepare [monthly] reconciliations between all group counterparties, and review and approve the final versions.
  • Ensure that all reconciling items above the threshold for in-[month] resolution are correctly resolved within the [month] end timescales and that all items below the threshold are correctly resolved by the end of the following [month].
  • Works effectively with the GH Consolidations team to ensure timely, complete and accurate provision of intercompany-related inputs to the consolidated financial statements of PII and PWW.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for auditors on all matters relating to intercompany accounting.

Profile

  • Degree level education
  • Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or internationally recognised equivalent)
  • Significant experience of managing intercompany teams within a complex, dynamic multi-currency environment
  • Excellent knowledge of and practical experience in SAP
  • Hands on practical approach to problem solving
