Assistant Financial AccountantWokingham£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)Full-time, PermanentMonday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant role for one of our clients who are UK market leaders in their field. The successful applicant will support the financial accounting team with the following: ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, and supporting audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Help analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.
  • Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT,QBE) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce, and strong Excel skills is essential.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
