Our client based in Wokingham are looking for a positive and proactive Assistant Accountant to join their established financial team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have all-round experience in accounts, bookkeeping and purchase/sales ledger. You will be highly motivated and detail-oriented, taking responsibility for many reports and reconciliation whilst continually identifying and implementing areas for improvement.

Job Title: Senior Accounts Assistant

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum

Location: Wokingham

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting including VAT returns, audits and reconciliations.
Assisting with the preparation of budgets.
Working closely with the CFO and Finance Manager.
Assisting with the month end procedure including payment run, PAYE/pension reconciliations and allocation of expenses.
Collaborating and communicating with internal departments to ensure accurate transactions.
Reconciling supplier statements and payments.

What we are looking for:

Previous accounts assistant experience, including VAT returns.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high volumes.
Willingness to learn and develop your skills through individual work and by working closely with your team.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
