Are you an experienced Drainage Design Engineer with a passion for delivering rail projects?

Do you bring expertise in rail design, including track drainage, culverts, and embankments?

Salary: £45,000 to £75,000 (engineer up to principal level)
Location: Travel between offices in Basingstoke and Slough, with site attendance once every 2 to 3 weeks.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 8 years’ experience in rail infrastructure design, particularly track drainage.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Recent experience creating design mark-ups and calculations
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD beneficial (hands-on drafting not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of UK rail standards and safety protocols.
  • Ability and willingness to attend company offices/site as required.

Desired Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
  • PTS certification (preferred but training can be provided).

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and deliver rail infrastructure design projects, focusing on track drainage.
  • Prepare calculations and design mark-ups, coordinating with drafting teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys, ensuring designs meet specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of design outputs.
