Your new role

Joining as Customer Service Officer you will be welcomed into this friendly and hardworking team. You will help to provide support on their long-standing partnership with the local borough helping to maintain and enhance the highway network. 

In short you will

  • Assist with customer enquires using the HIMS.
  • Coordinate operatives, inspectors, clients and all other stakeholders.
  • Handle enquiries concerning network-related issues or works, providing necessary support to supervisors by coordinating response teams to address situations on-site.
  • Oversee business plan and targets and to ensure operational objectives are being met.
  • Maintain adherence to all contractual performance standards and benchmarks.
  • Update records, defects, work orders and attaching evidence to support these claims.
  • Facilitate the NRSWA and TMA permit processes efficiently.
  • Communicate with Highway Authorities improvements on traffic movements.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for coordinate and investigating highway enquiries. As the Customer Service Officer, you will prioritise network safety whilst minimising disruption.

You will be able to

  • Communicate effectively to act and respond to all necessary parties effectively and efficiently.
  • Work well under pressure to manage work priorities.
  • High attention to detail to coordinate with the various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with NRSWA and TMA permits.
  • Highways experience preferred but not essential.
  • Some flexibility required, attending local council meetings and supporting emergency events.
