An outstanding school in Wokingham is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP! They are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who has personal or professional experience working with and helping children. This experience can be previous work experience in schools, coaching, babysitting etc.

The two roles they have for the Graduate Teaching Assistant are:

  1. General Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Provide supporting in a year group in the class during lessons
  • Help lower ability and SEN children when they are struggling with a topic
  • Run interventions in the afternoons in time tables, spellings, phonics etc, which you will receive training for
  • Track and record progress from the interventions
  1. 1:1 Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Support a child with SEN and ASD in the mainstream classroom
  • Help the child read, write and keeping them on track with their work
  • Run lessons/interventions for them in areas they struggle in
  • Build a positive relationship with the child to help them as much as you can
  • Track and record progress of the child you are supporting.
