We are looking for a PR and Social Media Executive for a fast growing, environmentally focused company. You will play a key role in enhancing brand presence, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting the company.

You will develop and execute effective PR strategies, manage social media channels, and create content that aligns with their mission to drive sustainability and help deliver net-zero for the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies that effectively communicate mission, values, and achievements to diverse audiences, including media, government bodies, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets within the renewable energy and sustainability sectors.
  • Draft press releases, feature articles and case studies across the different business areas.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to grow online presence, enhance brand awareness, and engage with the renewable energy community.
  • Manage and create content for all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
  • Monitor media coverage, track press mentions and provide regular reports on PR and social media campaign performance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualification in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in public relations and social media management.
  • Strong proficiency with key social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) and social media scheduling tools.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with social media platforms, content management tools, and analytics (e.g., Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you have to think and act on your feet
