Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical health and teamwork.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Manage student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential in various sports and physical activities.
  • Assess students' skills, performance, and development and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as a PE Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and the ability to implement it effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and enthuse young people.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field.
