• Leading audit assignments from planning to completion for a varied client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, corporate clients, and not-for-profit organisations
• Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
• Managing audit fieldwork, working closely with clients to understand their needs and resolve queries
• Mentoring and reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and training
• Identifying areas for improvement in client processes and offering strategic financial advice
• Assisting with risk assessments and audit planning, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or a finalist with relevant experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Experience in leading external audits and managing client relationships
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and audit compliance
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
• Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in audit software, such as CCH, CaseWare, or similar platforms
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure

• £38,000 to £48,000 per annum
