Financial Controller

SF Recruitment are exclusively partnered with an exciting Wolverhampton based business that is seeking a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a critical role in the development of the business as it continues to scale. It provides a motivated individual with an ideal opportunity to grow with the company during its next phase of expansion.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the financial control environment, including all finance operational processes and the enhancement of business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on process improvement initiatives.

Oversee the month-end process.

Manage and mentor the Management Accountant.

Act as a Business Partner to the senior leadership team.

Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

Oversee treasury management.

Ensure compliance with corporate taxation and VAT requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will have an entrepreneurial nature and a proven track record of adding value in previous roles.

You MUST be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
