Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working with an established client located in Wolverhampton, currently seeking a management accountant to join the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the general ledger and master data
  • Conduct monthly closing tasks, including settlement processes, depreciation calculations, and foreign currency revaluations.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, backed by proper authorization and supporting documentation.
  • Generate and circulate weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations for balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, loans, and interest.
  • Complete account reconciliations with precise and justifiable reconciling items.
  • Facilitate timely investigation and resolution of reconciliation issues.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with in-country controllers, plant controllers, and the Global Capex and Inventory controller.
  • Undertake additional projects and shared accounting duties as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong skills in analysing data and delivering presentations.
  • Familiarity with SAP or comparable accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with integrated, digital accounting systems.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication, along with effective presentation abilities.
  • Excellent people skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with keen attention to detail.
  • Curious and forward-thinking, always aiming for improvement.
