Hays Senior Finance and working exclusively with this manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton to help them recruit a Project Acoountant on a permanent basis. Your new role
The Project Accountant job will oversee their financial operations and ensure the success of their projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Control of journal entries and reconciliations
- Preparation of profitability of the projects
- Completion and analysis of the project Capex and other reports
- Assist in the completion of the month-end accounting pack
- Assist in the preparation of the annual audit pack
- Prepare detailed files for all budget and business plan submissions
- Work closely with senior members of various teams to control costs, investments and transactions
- Ensure consistency of reporting of financial KPIs when required
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Assist in the completion of Board meetings preparation
- Detailed analysis and reporting on various projects
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a manufacturing environment, they will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be confident with using excel. Although SAP experience is desired, it is not essential.
