Butler Rose Public Practice is excited to support our client in their search for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join and expand their existing team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and business plans for a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies/LLPs.
- Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide tax and accounting advice, with support from the Client Manager.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Assist in the implementation of cloud-based software for clients, such as Xero and Dext.
- Support on ad hoc projects as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA newly qualified or in the final stages of qualification.
- Solid experience in accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, statutory accounts, and management accounts.
- Good knowledge of corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, and VAT.
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Dext, and Fathom.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, and INDEX/MATCH functions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
