Accounts Assistant

Are you a detail-oriented and organised individual with a passion for finance? Our client, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations, particularly inaccounts payable and accounts receivable.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity where the temporary position is being seen as a probation period. With a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 and hybrid working with flexible hours, this could be your next exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
    • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
    • Managing payment runs and ensuring timely payments.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Generating and sending customer invoices.
    • Monitoring outstanding balances and conducting credit control activities.
    • Resolving customer queries related to invoices and payments.
  • Potentially assisting with month-end processes and reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Collaborating with team members to improve processes and work flows.
Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (preferably with exposure to both Accounts Payable and Receivable).
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
