Job Title: Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant and required for an insurance company in the Wolverhampton area, city centre based. 

We are looking for an individual that can join a team on a temporary ongoing basis, minimum of 3 months to support an Accountant within the business, you will be required to deal with various transactional process and must have experience with cash allocation. 

The ideal candidate will support our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

It would be advantageous to have experience within an insurance sector, however this is not essential. 

Location: Wolverhampton City Centre WV1 – Free parking, and great public transport links.

Salary: 13.50-15ph 

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch. 

Fully onsite role in a lovely spacious new office building. 

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Cash allocation experience 
  • Accounts Payable
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Credit control 
  • General administration and supporting the team when necessary
  • Any other ad hoc requirements to meet the business needs.

Ideally, You Will:

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Qualified by experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Excel is essential for this role!!!!!
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
