Summary of SHEQ Advisor Role:

Skilled Careers are looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a main contractor who work in the property services sector looking after refurbishment and regeneration of properties in the Midlands and North. We are currently looking for a SHEQ Advisor to provide invaluable specialist support and advice to teams delivering Fire Safety schemes, SHDF, Net Zero retrofit, planned & responsive maintenance.

Responsibilities For SHEQ Advisor Role:

  • Promote and implement a positive SHEQ culture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and United Living expectations
  • Guide and advise projects on the implementation of business management systems, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor site performance, conduct investigations, and perform root cause analysis for allocated projects
  • Support continuous improvement of SHEQ performance through proactive monitoring and reporting
  • Provide support and advice to subcontractors and suppliers as required
  • Participate in regular meetings, contributing to best practices and innovation
  • Support line manager and wider team in the delivery of agreed strategy and action plans
  • Required travel
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors
  • Looking for a team player who can add value to our operational teams

Requirements forSHEQ Advisor Role:

This is primarily a site-based role which will require a SHEQ professional with previously construction / property services sector experience, in addition to a full UK driving license and vehicle for work purposes. You will also possess the following:

  • NEBOSH Construction
  • SEATS
  • IOSH
