Technical Sales Business Development Engineer Manager

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm 

Annual Salary £40,000 to £45,000 plus Company Car

Day to Day Duties

  • Develop and expand relationships with existing and new customers in the UK and overseas
  • Identify and explore new market opportunities for company diversification
  • Ensure compliance with QA policies and systems
  • Generate and manage sales enquiries
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and site/equipment surveys
  • Entertain potential clients and participate in promotional activities
  • Prepare and present tender documents
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and ensure contract compliance with internal teams
  • Oversee after-sales care and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Manage sales records, provide sales statistics, and forecast potential opportunities
  • Attend internal sales meetings, preparing data for review and analysis
  • Ensure timely invoicing and assist with payment collection

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a relevant business environment
  • Strong business development and sales experience in the UK and international markets
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams across design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
  • Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering-related subject or relevant qualification
  • Experience in new market exploration and business diversification
  • Familiarity with preparing tender documents and commercial contract negotiation
