About the Role: As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, helping children to develop and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of activities, ensuring children’s well-being, and supporting them as they explore, learn, and have fun.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing high-quality care for children aged 0-5.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote early learning and development.
- Ensure children’s safety, hygiene, and well-being at all times.
- Help with meal times, nap times, and other daily routines.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on their child’s progress.
- Work alongside a friendly, dedicated team of professionals in a collaborative environment.
About You:
- A genuine love for working with children.
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (desirable, but not essential).
- A positive, friendly, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
