My well established Engineering / Manufacturing client are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
Duties:-
- Identifying suitable markets and industry for the business.Understanding the customer base and gaining new customers.
- Completing the necessary sales activity including customer visits, cold calls, emails, exhibitions and travelling to support customer requirements.
- Reporting and liaising directly with theSales Director to ensure quotations are obtained whilst remainingcompetitive and meeting customer demands.
- Account management -from receiving enquiries, obtaining quotations from the estimating team, to handing over orders to the Project Manager.
- Grow and run accounts up to the value of 500K+ and growing each account to it's very highestpotential.
- After sales care including regular visits and telephone contact.
- Liaise withsales, production and quality departments
- Meet with customers on a face to face basis both on and off site
- Deliver company presentation to a corporate level - be involved in quality audits and company shop floor tours.
- Sales reporting to be completed as per the business requirements.
Key Skills:-
- Proven track record of working in Sales within thesheet metal engineering industry supplying to B2B,Tier 1 & OEM supply chain.
- Experience of building key accounts and be commercially astute.
- Knowledge of metal pressings, laser cut fabrication and welded assembly would be advantageous
- Ideally hold a formal engineering qualification.
- Excellent communication skills and be confident to speak with various partners, suppliers and internal departmental team members.
