RM Recruit is proud to partner with a highly regarded maintained school in Wolverhampton, seeking a confident and diligent School Business Manager to join their team for circa 3 months. This temporary role is based onsite Monday - Friday and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Headteacher, you will oversee the school’s Finance and Administration functions, ensuring seamless operational delivery. This role requires a flexible and adaptable professional capable of addressing the school’s dynamic daily needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Management: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to maximize resource efficiency.
  • Operational Leadership: Manage facilities, procurement, ICT systems, and health and safety compliance.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with the Headteacher, Governing Body, and staff to achieve strategic goals.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain legal, regulatory, and educational compliance while mitigating risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison with suppliers, local authorities, and community partners.

Person Specification:

  • Proven expertise in financial and operational management, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant legislation, policies, and educational procedures.
  • Desirable qualifications in business administration, finance, or a related field.
