We are currently recruiting for an experienced Paraplanner on behalf of our client, a well-established wealth management firm in the Wolverhampton area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support a dynamic team of advisers in delivering high-quality financial services to clients. The successful candidate will provide technical paraplanning support, helping to design and implement comprehensive financial strategies tailored to clients' needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical paraplanning support to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with advisers to identify financial planning opportunities and source suitable solutions for clients.
  • Construct financial planning solutions across investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning, supported by detailed reports and computer models.
  • Communicate with clients and other parties to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Consider asset allocation and develop appropriate investment strategies in line with clients' risk profiles.
  • Produce clear, comprehensive suitability reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries, supporting clients throughout their financial journey.
  • Prepare for client reviews, updating financial models, and generating performance reports.
  • Obtain necessary information, quotes, illustrations, and product details to support analysis.
  • Assist with tax calculations and provide support during client review meetings.
  • Stay up to date with template changes, advice notes, and industry developments.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous paraplanning experience in an IFA or Wealth Management setting.
  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma (or working towards) in Financial Planning (or FPC qualified with substantial experience).
  • Ideally working towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
  • Familiarity with key research systems (e.g., Analytics, Voyant).
  • Experience in pension transfers and the administration of IHT/Investment products.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and legislation.

Skills and Behaviours:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in transposing information.
  • Experience using templated Suitability Letters and dealing with third parties with discretion.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional client service.
