We are recruiting for Cycling Instructors to join our team in Wolverhampton! ??????????

Location: Wolverhampton

Pay rate: 17.69 per hour

Service area : Technical Specialist Road Safety - Cycling Development

Are you passionate about cycling and eager to inspire others? Join our dynamic team as a Cycling Instructor! This role is perfect for enthusiastic individuals who are committed to promoting safe cycling and encouraging a healthier lifestyle within the community.

Job Purpose:

As a Cycling Instructor, you will assist in delivering the National Standard cycle training, helping both children and adults develop their cycling skills. From basic off-road courses to advanced on-road training, you'll empower riders to cycle safely and confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering National Standard cycle training through the organisation's Bikeability Scheme.
  • Complete essential course paperwork, including registers, assessments, and reports.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of riders, cycles, and training areas.
  • Collect consent forms at the start of each training session.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of both colleagues and riders during training.
  • Deliver training in line with health and safety policies and report any incidents.
  • Encourage and promote cycling as a fun, healthy mode of transport! �??????

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Regular and competent cyclist with a passion for cycling.
  • Strong understanding of road and traffic environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with riders, including children, parents, and schools.
  • Decisive and confident, with the ability to inspire and encourage.
  • Enthusiastic about cycling as a sport, transport, leisure activity, and exercise.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • National Standard qualified cycling instructor (training available!).
  • First Aid qualification (training available!).
  • Basic understanding of cycle maintenance (training available!).

Experience:

Experience working with groups of children, teenagers, and adults in a learning environment is desirable.
