I'm currently working on an exciting Launch Engineer position for a Global Manufacturing company in the West Midlands. This is a critical role within the business, you will be responsible for leading and coodinating various functions involved in Launch. As well as planning and executiing the critical deliverables within the BOS.

Role Description

  • Lead Feasibility review, complete feasibility commitment (DFM) & coordinate implementation of actions arising from reviews
  • Lead PFMEA review & coordinate implementation of actions arising from reviews.
  • Support the Lead Engineer in the safety review if applicable
  • Support the Plant Tooling Engineer & Plant Process Coordinator in tooling feasibility reviews, feedback & follow-up with central tooling
  • Coordinate packing trials, creation & sign-off of Packing Specifications
  • Coordinate the creation & maintenance the Operator Training Matrix & training records through Launch
  • Coordinate creation and sign-off of ODS's
  • Lead internal process sign-off
  • Lead run @ rate trials

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 1-3 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Engineering/Process experience
  • Program Management Experience'
  • Manufacturing Operations
  • Quality Management (PPAP/APQP)
  • Lean Manufacturing (JCMS)
  • MS Project, MS Office, Lotus Notes'
