Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, they are looking for an equally passionate individual to join their team as a Mentor.The Role: Are you a motivated, empathetic individual with a desire to positively impact young lives? As a Mentor at this PRU, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting their students through their educational and personal development. You will work closely with a small group of students, building strong, trusting relationships and providing the encouragement and assistance they need to succeed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one mentoring to students, helping them to set and achieve personal and academic goals.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Encourage and motivate students to engage in their education and personal development.
  • Assist with behavior management, helping students to develop positive coping strategies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or youth work setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
