This is a strategic and operational position, working closely with our engineering businesses to develop and implement the health and safety strategy, ensure our compliance with legislation and that any highlighted actions are followed up to a satisfactory conclusion. There will be a requirement to travel to sites across the UK.


Key Responsibilities

Main Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Review QHSE performance to identify root cause analysis and corrective actions needed.
  • Advise and support withinjury reports, near miss reports and vehicle accidents.
  • Monitor, prepare and distribute injury and accident performance statistics across the organisation and investigate where necessary.
  • Assist with the review and completion of Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments, Noise & HAV Assessments and DSE Assessments to ensure legal compliance.
  • Responsibility for the QMS system.
  • Highlighting non-conformances on the back of internal audits and following up to resolution.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the site leadership team and the senior leadership team on all health, safety and quality matters.
  • Develop and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
  • Provide health and safety training as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of managing health and safety across multi-site locations.
  • Experience of health and safety within an engineering or a services background
  • IOSH accreditation
  • ISO audit accreditation
