The HSE Officer position is a crucial role within the Engineering & Manufacturing department, focusing on promoting health, safety and environmental best practices in line with industry standards. *This is a 6 month FTC opportunity to go perm*

Description

  • Implementing and managing HSE programs and policies
  • Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures
  • Establishing a culture of continuous improvement in HSE matters
  • Training employees on health and safety procedures
  • Carrying out internal/external audits and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
  • Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims
  • Collaborating with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Meet ISO45001,50001,14001 standards
  • Preparing reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Profile

A successful HSE Officer should have:

  • NEBOSH ideally
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  • Experience with writing reports and policies for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
