A dynamic engineering company based in Wolverhampton, known for their commitment to excellence in quality and innovation are currently seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team and support their continuous growth and improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Business Management System, creating and managing quality processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the upkeep and continuous improvement of the Business Management System.Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.Create, monitor, and report on quality metrics to drive performance improvements across the organisation.Identify trends and recommend corrective actions to address any issues.Liaise with customers and suppliers to handle quality-related complaints effectively.Conduct thorough investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Apply quality principles to resolve internal and external issues using problem-solving techniqueConduct internal and supplier audits as required, ensuring adherence to quality management systems and standards.Support customer and third-party audits, providing necessary documentation and information.Prepare and review Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.Provide support to all internal departments on quality-related matters, ensuring that quality standards are understood and adhered to throughout the organisation.Be fully conversant in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Review and understand customer specifications and purchase orders to effectively complete contract reviews.Assist in maintaining and adhering to the organization’s accredited systems, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.Ensure that all quality documentation and processes are up-to-date and compliant with relevant standards.Perform other duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.Experience:Formal Engineering trainedMinimum of 3 years experience in quality engineering roleKnowledge of CMMs, Problem resolution and Root Cause AnalysisAS9100/ ISO9001 Audit TrainedThis role is working day shifts only - 39 hours a week.
