Our client, a reputable organisation in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Material Planner to join their Aftermarket Team in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on their aftermarket operations and contribute to their success!

Summary:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Location: Wolverhampton WV10
  • Pay Rate: £15 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Hours: 37 per week Mon - Thurs 8 - 4.45 and Fri 8-12

Duties Include:

  • Take initiative in managing internal rework orders, prioritising tasks to efficiently reduce the current Aged WIP level.
  • Identify and implement improvements in work flow and processes to boost efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Proactively work with the Pool Office to ensure units are recalled and processed on time, taking the lead on follow-ups and coordination.
  • Accurately maintain records of rework orders and WIP levels; analyse data to identify trends, forecast needs, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all units are processed promptly, minimising delays and maximising resource usage.
  • Partner with different teams to align priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure the smooth flow of aftermarket operations.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Excel - essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Strong desire to optimise processes and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Excellent at prioritising tasks, managing time, and handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate well with colleagues at all levels.
