Our client are a leading manufacturer of high-quality press tooling, supplying a range of industries with precision-engineered solutions. They are a based within a Contract Toolroom environment. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join our skilled team.
Job Role:
As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining press tools to ensure production efficiency. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure tools meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble press tooling to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate a range of manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and wire erosion machines.
- Conduct tool maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair to ensure minimal downtime.
- Modify existing tooling to improve performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to enhance tooling designs.
- Adhere to strict health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Work within tight tolerances to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker in a press tooling or precision engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of toolmaking techniques, materials, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Skilled in operating both manual and CNC machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
