Description
- Implementing and managing HSE programs and policies
- Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures
- Establishing a culture of continuous improvement in HSE matters
- Training employees on health and safety procedures
- Carrying out internal/external audits and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
- Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims
- Collaborating with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Meet ISO(phone number removed) standards
- Preparing reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Profile
A successful HSE Officer should have:
- NEBOSH ideally
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience with writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
