Seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Officer, we are delighted to present this exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives. Responsibilities:

  • To act as the LA's representative at multi-agency meetings to review EHCPs and to ensure that the LA fully meets its statutory requirements for reviews/ transition reviews
  • The post holder will act as the Plan Co-ordinator and will be responsible for drawing together information for the drafting of an EHCP, including financial aspects of the plan i.e. Personal Budgets
  • Collaborate with the Departmental Management to review and implement Government Regulations, Directives, and City wide priorities related to SEND.
  • Liaise with the team to ensure effective communication and support the collective responsibility for Corporate Parenting, providing the best possible care and protection for children in need.
  • Carry out any other duties as commensurate with the grading and designation of the role, adhering to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an SEND-related role or a strong passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Excellent knowledge of Government Regulations, Directives, and City wide priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
