You'll be based across 2 of their sites - a learning centre in Wolverhampton, and their SEMH School in Walsall.

52-week role (term time only considered)

Our private client are seeking an Occupational Therapist to support their specialist sites in Wolverhampton and Walsall on a permanent basis.

The School caters primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health need, but also provides for children with autism with moderate speech and learning needs. They provide education for up to 72 children, aged between 8-16.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support across specialist schools / learning centres and children's homes for young people with complex needs (developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, and SEND).
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support educational and residential staff in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individualised interventions for young people.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure therapeutic support is integrated into all aspects of education, care, and support.
  • Offer consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs
