My client possess 60 years experience within health and safety consultancy, and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and professional Health and Safety CDM Advisor to join their Technical Department, providing advice and support to construction companies throughout the UK.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will be a driven Health and Safety professional with proven experience providing CDM support for major construction/development projects and creating a range of CDM documentation such as Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans etc.

Ideally, you will be located in the Midlands and possess the NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and be able to demonstrate that you either hold or are willing to work towards gaining the NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent).The position will be predominately located at head office in Wolverhampton but will require an element of travel to clients’ sites to attend meetings/audits.

Qualifications:

Essential (E) or Desirable (D)

  • Either NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate or working towards this - E
  • Be prepared to work towards an NVQ5 in Occupational Health and Safety - E
  • Obtain Chartered Membership of IOSH if not already obtained - D
  • Industry recognised qualification on Fire Regulations - D
  • Industry recognised qualification or certification of knowledge of hazardous substances - D
  • Industry recognised qualification or certification of knowledge of competence in Environmental Noise Measurement - D
  • Industry recognised qualification or certification of knowledge of competence in Occupational Diseases - D
  • Industry recognised qualification or certification of knowledge of competence in Environmental Awareness or Conservational Issues -
  • Must have full UK Driving Licence - E

Experience

Essential (E) or Desirable (D)

  • Experienced in a construction environment - E
  • Experienced in all aspects of CDM and preconstruction stages including creating Pre-Construction Information - E
  • Experienced in carrying out the role of Principal Designer under CDM 2015 - D
  • Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload - E
  • Experience of setting up events and meetings - E

  • Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines - E
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally - E
