Are you a compassionate and caring individual looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in someone’s life?   We are currently seeking a Female Bank Support Worker to join an existing team to assist a 23-year-old disabled male, at his Wolverhampton home.Our client is looking to add to his caring support worker team to assist him and his family.  You will need to be flexible to cover on-call shifts – with prior notice given.  Some of his carers have been with him for several years, forming a close bond with him.As a Female Bank Support Worker, your key responsibilities will be:
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Driving his adapted vehicle
  • Helping with swimming/hydrotherapy
  • Administering medication
  • Supporting him in daily activities such as going to the park, cinema, or pub.
Previous experience would be an advantage, but being the right fit for him and his family is more important.  As his Female Bank Support Worker, you will need:
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • To be able to swim, as this is one of his favourite activities
  • To be able to communicate fluently in English
  • To have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years
  • To live within a 30-minute drive to Wolverhampton.
You must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.As this role is very specific, we ideally need to take on a Female applicant in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 *This is a zero-hour role, offering a minimum of 2 shifts per month, plus being on call (with notice) to cover holidays and sickness for existing team members.The salary offered is £13.50 per hour, with an enhanced hourly rate of £15.50 for weekend shifts, and £27.00 for Bank Holidays, with £80 per sleep-in shift.
