Are you an experienced residential children’s support worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? If so, Elwood Recruitment is seeking driven residential children’s support workers for a local children and young people’s service specialising in residential care for children with learning disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of the children and young people within the service. This is a rewarding role where you will work alongside a supportive team to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in line with organisational standards, policies, and current legislation.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people to support their personal growth and development.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans.
  • Support young people in their education, health, and wellbeing by maintaining communication with schools, attending appointments, and facilitating activities.
  • Perform household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming home environment.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training, and personal development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Transport young people to appointments, education, and recreational activities as required.
