Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - Mental Health

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Search Recruitment Group are seeking a band 6 Occupational therapist to start as a locum ASAP.
You will be working within a specialist mental health service, specifically supporting a Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Male Acute Mental Health ward. The service features a 12-bed PICU ward and a 17-bed Acute ward, offering rapid access to mental health care for adults in need of an intensive care environment.
As part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will be responsible for assessing and treating occupational dysfunction through meaningful and evidence-based interventions. You will also take a leadership role in specific projects, provide supervision to junior colleagues, and have access to robust appraisal and career development structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Work autonomously as part of an MDT to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services.
* Assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions to support service users' recovery.
* Supervise and support junior occupational therapy staff.
* Contribute to service development and research initiatives.
* Engage in regular clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.
