This primary school is dedicated to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The Hive Hub is a specialised unit designed to support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to succeed.

This primary school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the Hive Hub team. In this role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and the SENCO to provide individualised support and foster a positive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include providing 1:1 support to children and supporting them in small groups, assisting in the implementation of individualised education plans (EHPs), supporting classroom activities, and ensuring student engagement. Additionally, you will foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, monitor and record student progress, provide feedback to teachers and parents, and assist in the development of social skills and academic progress. What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's development
