- Assist with the delivery of learning activities for students with special educational needs.
- Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and promoting a positive, productive learning environment.
- Work with individual students or small groups to deliver targeted interventions and support.
- Help with personal care needs where appropriate.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and other professional development opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a school setting, is preferred.
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach when working with children.
- Qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable but not essential.
