On behalf of a dynamic special school in Wolverhampton, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join their team. This school provides high-quality, inclusive education for students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and is committed to creating an empowering and supportive environment for both students and staff.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Studies, tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching methods to ensure that each student can access the curriculum according to their individual learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to create and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting appropriate targets.

  • Engage with wider school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified Humanities Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • A strong background in teaching History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
  • Previous experience in a special school setting or working with SEN students (preferred but not essential).
  • Exceptional communication skills, patience, and a passion for inclusive education.
