We are looking for dedicated and compassionate mentors to work in special schools across Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Dudley.About the Role:As a Mentor, you will provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) within a nurturing and inclusive school environment. You will work closely with teachers, SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to help students overcome challenges and achieve their personal and academic goals.Your role will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to students.
- Offering emotional and social support to build students' confidence and self-esteem.
- Assisting with classroom activities and encouraging active participation.
- Helping students develop essential life skills and independence.
- Supporting the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Working closely with teachers and parents to ensure students' progress and well-being.
Who We Are Looking For:We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and have experience working with children with special educational needs. This could include experience in schools, social care, or volunteer work. Ideal candidates will possess the following:
