The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with children who have complex, diverse needs and require tailored support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. These roles will start at Easter 2025.1. Primary Teacher (Full-Time)Primary Age Group: 4-11 years Children's Needs: The primary class consists of children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Experience working with children with complex needs, including behavioural difficulties, sensory processing issues, and communication difficulties, is essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering personalised learning experiences, utilising a range of strategies to engage students, and supporting their social and emotional development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with complex learning needs.
  • Supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Collaborating with support staff and other professionals to provide holistic support for each child.
  • Engaging with families and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and well-being.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching children with complex needs, including learning difficulties, ASD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and parents.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Experience of implementing strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and behaviour management.

2. Secondary Teacher (Full-Time)Secondary Age Group: 11-16 years Children's Needs: The secondary class includes students with a range of complex needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), SEMH challenges, and other additional learning needs. The successful candidate will need to have experience working with students who have multiple and profound difficulties. You will adapt secondary curriculum content to suit individual students' needs, ensuring they receive an education that helps them to progress academically, socially, and emotionally.Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a differentiated curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students with complex needs.
  • Creating a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment to support students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
  • Differentiating resources and approaches to ensure accessibility for all students.
  • Supporting students to develop independence, confidence, and positive social skills.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in secondary education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with complex needs, including learning difficulties, ASD, SEMH, and other related conditions.
  • A strong ability to adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet the varied needs of students.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with a team to create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour and promoting emotional well-being.
